Our Goals

•Form alliances with Community Partners who provide services to the Newark Community.

•Support and strengthen our Community Partners’ efforts to prevent, control and reduce drug and gang related violent crimes.

•Explore and educate the community about new possibilities for positive action.

•Build an urban-suburban interfaith alliance with Coalition Partners to bring resources into the community.

•Work in mutual consultation with Community Partners to address this multilevel challenge to answer the call of our faith and secure the peace and welfare of the city.

Our History

Our History

The Newark Interfaith Coalition for Hope
and Peace is a grassroots organization formed in September of 2007 as a way of mobilizing
religious organizations and leaders to join those already in action against violence, addiction, poverty and
neglect affecting young people in the city of Newark.
